The new rates have been fixed only after taking into account the cost of agriculture, recommendations of the Price Commission and talks with major coconut growers.

How much is MSP now?

According to media reports, an increase of Rs 270 per quintal has been made for milling copra and Rs 750 per quintal for child copra as compared to last year. The MSP has been fixed at Rs.10860 for average quality of milling copra and Rs.11750 per quintal for ball copra for the season 2023. This gives an all India average cost of production of 51.82 percent for milling copra and 64.26 percent for ball copra. will get.

These agencies will work

National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED) and National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF) will continue to act as Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs) for procurement of copra and desiccated coconut under the Price Support Scheme (PSS).
